2013-06-07

May 6, in the evening, a lecture named “experience in information system—how to develop commercial use information for maximized utility” was held by the MBA center, in Economics and Management School. The lecture was give by Andre Marshall, professor from CNAM, former executive of Air-France information management department. Program manager Xia Quanzhen of Air-France information department, and MBA center staff Ms. Zhang Xiaohua also attended the lecture.
Combined with his own working experience, Professor Marshall talked about the development of company information system. Taken the information system re-development during the mergence of Air-France and Royal Dutch Airlines as example, he gave a detailed discussion about the key points in information system development program, and its joint control. He had deep concern for risk control; consider it one of the most important factors in deciding a program’s success. Also, Professor Marshall employed various methods to analyze the risk, so the students can not only see risk evaluation numbers, but also the risk areas that the program was in.
From the lecture we can clearly see that Professor Marshall was quite an expert in his own field, not only about the technology, but also the management, both of which he considered to be crucial as a qualified leader.
